The Sustainable and Responsible Investment Week (SRI Week), organised by Spainsif, is the leading national series of meetings on sustainable finance, to be held throughout the year 2026.
It takes place every year in different cities across Spain, with the aim of promoting knowledge, dialogue and the exchange of good practices on the integration of ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria into investment decisions.
The Bilbao session of SRI Week 2026, hosted by Seed Capital Bizkaia, will be held on 18 June at BAT Tower (Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro, 1, Abando, 48001 Bilbao, Bizkaia), from 12:00 pm to 2:15 pm, and will focus on the theme: “Finance for the ecological transition: innovation and economic growth”.
The session will adopt a plural and inclusive approach, bringing together institutional representatives, stakeholders from the financial ecosystem, and experts in investment and ecological transition, with the aim of analysing the opportunities of sustainable finance for economic growth.
Participants will include representatives of the European Commission, with an intervention by Anna Armengol, Economic Adviser at the Representation of the European Commission in Spain, alongside the Basque Institute of Finance, Seed Capital Bizkaia, institutional representatives from the Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Biscay, as well as key players from the financial sector such as Kutxabank Gestión SGIIC, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management and Alantra, among others.
