JIEEC 2026 will bring together representatives from electric utilities, equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, technology organizations and public institutions to explore the key role of power grids in the competitive decarbonization of industry.
The conference will begin with the presentation of Grid4Industry, a transformative project within the Euskadi Industry Plan 2030, and will move on to identify innovative technological solutions, including smart transmission line and substation designs, advanced power electronics, and equipment and solutions for more resilient and sustainable grids.
Throughout the event, digitalization will take center stage, with a focus on digital substations, artificial intelligence, and protection and cybersecurity solutions for safer and more efficient grid operations.
The event will conclude by addressing one of the major challenges facing the energy system: the integration of energy storage and the enhancement of grid flexibility. Technologies, business models and opportunities for industry participation in the emerging electricity market will be explored.
In addition to representatives from utilities, equipment manufacturers, technology organizations and public administrations, the conference will feature a selected group of startups that will present their value propositions in a pitch format, showcasing innovations from the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
