BAT B Accelerator Tower will host a new edition of IP Perspectives Euskadi on 22 October 2026, a leading event for companies, technology centres, universities, and professionals from the Basque innovation ecosystem interested in protecting and maximising the value of innovation through Intellectual Property (IP) rights. Organised by ABG Intellectual Property, the seminar will provide a practical overview of some of the key challenges and opportunities currently facing Basque organisations when protecting their developments, transferring technology, and maximising the value of their intangible assets.
The programme will cover, among other topics:
  • Key considerations when negotiating intellectual property licensing agreements.
  • The importance of experimental evidence in obtaining patents.
  • Essential issues to assess before filing a trade mark application.
  • The role of intellectual property in collaboration between companies and research organisations.
In addition to ABG IP specialists, representatives from Faes Farma will take part, sharing their experience of how intellectual property strategy influences the evaluation of scientific and technological collaborations. On Tuesday, June 30, from 09:00 to 09:45, BAT will host a new edition of Community Breakfast by Kaiku at the Community Kitchen, featuring Yaran Foundation.

Yaran Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Bilbao dedicated to promoting social inclusion, equal opportunities, and access to education and employment for migrants and refugees.

During the session, the team will present their project and share how their programmes support individuals in rebuilding their lives with dignity — providing access to education, developing professional skills, and enabling integration into society.

Next Tuesday, May 26 at 9:00, at BAT B Accelerator Tower, we will host a live experience led by EROSKI, which will present its new service Eroski Smart Shop, already active in Bilbao.

An innovative proposal that allows customers to shop via WhatsApp, using artificial intelligence to generate a personalized basket in a matter of seconds and receive it at home in approximately one hour.

During the session, EROSKI’s innovation team will demonstrate how the service works in real time, with a small live demo-reacting… and a surprise that will arrive directly at BAT.

The Sustainable and Responsible Investment Week (SRI Week), organised by Spainsif, is the leading national series of meetings on sustainable finance, to be held throughout the year 2026.

It takes place every year in different cities across Spain, with the aim of promoting knowledge, dialogue and the exchange of good practices on the integration of ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria into investment decisions.

The Bilbao session of SRI Week 2026, hosted by Seed Capital Bizkaia, will be held on 18 June at BAT Tower (Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro, 1, Abando, 48001 Bilbao, Bizkaia), from 12:00 pm to 2:15 pm, and will focus on the theme: “Finance for the ecological transition: innovation and economic growth”.

The session will adopt a plural and inclusive approach, bringing together institutional representatives, stakeholders from the financial ecosystem, and experts in investment and ecological transition, with the aim of analysing the opportunities of sustainable finance for economic growth.

Participants will include representatives of the European Commission, with an intervention by Anna Armengol, Economic Adviser at the Representation of the European Commission in Spain, alongside the Basque Institute of Finance, Seed Capital Bizkaia, institutional representatives from the Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Biscay, as well as key players from the financial sector such as Kutxabank Gestión SGIIC, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management and Alantra, among others.
